With 2015 fast approaching, we thought we’d give you a rundown of the all-new vessels you can expect from the very best river cruise lines over the next year. From all-suite ships to ships which are set to explore the grandest destinations in the Far East, there’s a huge amount to look forward to for river cruisers.
Avalon alone have a brilliant range of itineraries and ships debuting for 2015 river cruises. In Europe, the line are set to launch the Tranquility II and the Tapestry II, sibling ships which feature stunning all-suite accommodations. The exclusive panorama suites on-board these vessels feature innovative room configurations and an expansive open air balcony ideal for viewing the outstanding sights of a river cruise. Further afield, the line are debuting two brand new ships in Asia, with the Avalon Siem Reap sailing to Cambodia and Vietnam along the Mekong, and Avalon Myanmar sailing along the Irrawaddy. The Siem Reap will enter service in January 2015, while the Myanmar will be debuting the following September.
Viking River Cruises have one of the most busy schedules of any cruise line for next year – seeing how they have 10 new Viking longships to debut over the coming months. Along with this quite frankly, huge amount of new longships, river cruisers will also be glad to know that the line are launching two all-new vessels for the Elbe – the Viking Astrild, and the Viking Beyla. These sister ships will be sailing the iconic river year-round on behalf of Viking, so expect all new features when you travel the Elbe with the company.
Rounding out the new arrivals is another expansion into Asia, this time with the pioneering AMA Waterways. Customers with the line can expect fantastic Mekong itineraries to enjoy aboard all-new luxury ship the AmaDara, which is set to debut in August 2015.
