Anticipation has been building for AmaMagna since May, and we finally have our first look at the interior of AmaWaterway’s stunning new river cruise ship.
Released on Twitter, the images showcase a gorgeous stateroom fitted with modern-contemporary touches. Colourful accents add a touch of character to the otherwise neutral palette, while quirky features like the wood-slatted ceiling panel are sure to please those looking for a cruise ship with a difference.
AmaMagna will be the largest ship AmaWaterways has ever produced. However, despite being twice the width of traditional European river ships, AmaMagna will welcome just 194 guests on-board for intimate voyages to iconic waterways. In addition, the ship will offer multiple dining options (including an al fresco glass-enclosed restaurant), even more on-board activities and enhanced entertainment. Other additional amenities will include:
- A heated sundeck swimming pool with whirlpool and sky bar.
- A spa area with new treatments.
- A fitness area large enough for small group classes.
- Common areas designed to accommodate on-board events.
AmaWaterways is also debuting a quieter, more fuel-efficient engine, and will boast an open-water sports platform complete with zodiac boats, canoes and recreational equipment.
Co-owner of AmaWaterways, Rudi Schreiner, said:
“As the luxury river cruise market continues to grow, we want to carry on as the leader in industry innovation. While this new double-width concept has been on the table for some time, we believe, given the unique demand that exists, that now is the perfect moment to introduce this style of ship.”
Construction of AmaMagna has already begun, and the ship is expected to launch in 2019, destined for the iconic waters of the Danube. In the meantime, however, you can discover AmaWaterways river cruises to destinations ranging from Amsterdam and Bordeaux to Vietnam.
