Emerald Waterways’ seven-strong fleet of river cruise ships is set to become eight with the announcement of Emerald Harmony set to launch in 2019.
What features will be on-board Emerald Harmony?
The ship will feature staterooms and suites for up to 84 passengers, with the accommodation similar to that on-board other European Star-Ships such as Emerald Destiny and Emerald Liberté. Of the suites, there will be 32 Panorama Balcony Suites, four Grand Balcony Suites and two Owner’s Suites.
The ship will also feature a pool and Asian-themed Horizon Bar & Lounge, where indigenous plants will grow and create an authentic environment for you to enjoy delicious teas and coffees. The Reflections Restaurant will also feature, offering buffet breakfasts and lunches, as well as five-course a la carte dining showcasing a menu inspired by local cuisines from the passing regions.
The sun and pool decks also offer utter relaxation, designed to help you sit back and enjoy the peace from your sun lounger while sipping a wide selection of refreshing drinks. There will also be an infinity pool to really indulge your relaxing moments.
Where will Emerald Harmony sail?
Unlike other Emerald Waterways’ ships, Emerald Harmony will be able to sail right in to the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, meaning guests can enjoy docking in the centre of a fantastic city for true river cruise immersion.
The ship will set sail in 2019, when she will feature three itineraries including:
- 15-day Majestic Mekong river cruise and tour, taking in Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap
- 19-day Treasures & Temples of Vietnam and Cambodia river cruise and tour, from Hanoi to Siem Reap
- 23-day Grand Tour of Vietnam and Cambodia river cruise and tour, including stops in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Hue and Siem Reap
Experiences guests can expect on-board include the Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam, a network of underground tunnels constructed by the guerillas, or the War Remnants Museum. Along the Mekong, highlights include visiting the unspoiled My an Hung village and a unique family-owned silk factory, while Cambodia offers the chance to explore the capital Phnom Penh as well as the tragic Killing Fields as a reminder of the Khmer Rouge regime. In Siem Reap, guests can also visit the ruins of the world’s largest temple, Angkor Wat.
Dawn Quinn, Head of UK Trade Sales, said:
“We are looking forward to working with our trade partners to promote the newest Star-Ship, which will bring the innovative features and impressive inclusions that the brand offers on board European river cruises to the Mekong.”
