It’s exciting times for one of the cruise lines you can book with through our main website, as CroisiEurope begin expansion plans and announce updates to on-board policy that are sure to intrigue potential travellers.
Firstly, a new ship has been announced to join the fleet that is already 30-strong, adding a fourth option for the Douro River, as well as enhancing itineraries across the whole of Europe with exploration into new options in Cyprus and Israel around the coast.
The new ship will launch in 2015. Before that though, a new bar policy comes into play in 2014, which will see drinks provided on a complimentary basis on all voyages, with the exception of Christmas and New Year sailings.
The company has also announced that they intend to explore new options for voyages in Asia. Meanwhile a new website has been launched, with an accompanying call centre, for the US market, the first for the cruise line.
It’s quite exciting to see this oft-overlooked cruise line starting to make bigger, bolder moves in the market. Offering more options and adding new itineraries can only be a good thing for potential bookers, as competition will help to create better value packages, as cruise lines strive to offer the most attractive cruise both in terms of the price and the services and facilities they can expect on-board.
The cruise line already has voyages across the major rivers, including those in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Eastern Europe and in Asia, with Mekong River cruises exploring Vietnam and Cambodia.
The cruise line, formerly known by the name Alsace Croisieres before major expansion, began in France and has since grown across Europe with a brand chance to CroisiEurope reflecting this in 1997, 21 years after first launching.
It’ll be interesting to see if the planned development in Asia, and the possibility that opening up to the US market could lead to Mississippi cruises, could see another rebrand. CroisiWorld? CroisiTravel?
