Avalon Waterways has recently introduced its latest Suite Ship in Vienna. The vessel is named the Avalon Illumination and will carry 166 passengers on exciting voyages along the waterways of Europe.
The Avalon Illumination was christened on the 3rd June by Australian television personality Deborah Hutton and is the third ship this year to be added to the line’s ever-growing fleet. Since Avalon debuted its marvellous Suite Ship concept three years ago, with the launch of the Avalon Panorama, eight new vessels boasting this fabulous design have set sail for the line.
These magnificent Suite Ships are notable for their luxurious accommodation, which includes two upper decks filled with staterooms featuring large wall-to-wall glass sliding doors, which open up to create open-air balconies from which guests can take in the scenery on the riverbanks as it gently passes by. The ship’s Panorama Suites are also 30 per cent bigger than the industry standard, offering guests much more private space in which to unwind.
Other on-board features include a Panorama Bistro serving lights dishes, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, free Wi-Fi connection and an expansive Sky Deck with sun loungers and a whirlpool, as well as the fabulous Sky Bistro, serving a plethora of delicious al fresco meals and snacks.
Next year will see the launch of two more Avalon Suite Ships, as the Avalon Tapestry II and Avalon Tranquillity II take to the waters of Europe.
