Following the first-ever ttgluxury Travel Awards, AmaWaterways has been voted ‘Premium Cruise Line of the Year’.
The river cruise line was founded in 2002 and has received previous awards such as 2018 Gold Winner for Best River Cruise Line (Travvy Awards) and 2017 Best River Cruise Line (cruisecritic.co.uk).
Premium standard for AmaWaterways
AmaWaterways was awarded the Premium Cruise Line of the Year after being selected by a panel of experts from across the luxury travel industry.
The award illustrates the top standard that AmaWaterways has reached over the years since 2002, now boasting a fleet of 22 ships sailing on waterways across the world.
The cruise line has been recognised continually as an exceptional business, winning the ‘River Cruise Line of the Year’ (Travel Network Group) and ‘Best River Cruise Line’ (AFAR Travelers’ Choice) just last year.
In recent years, the cruise line has launched fairytale themed cruises and announced additional itineraries to exotic regions along the Mekong.
Inaugural ttgluxury Travel Awards
The awards took place at a glitzy lunchtime ceremony at Rosewood London, with more than 230 travel companies entered across all categories.
The twelve winning recipients were announced on stage, including two agent categories, nine supplier categories in aviation, cruise, hotels and tour operating, as well as a Contribution to Luxury award.
Editor of ttgluxury, April Hutchinson, said:
“In our inaugural year, I’m delighted we had such a fantastic calibre of entrants and winners, demonstrating the great breadth of incredible companies across the global luxury travel sector.”
The ceremony for these inaugural awards was attended by 200 leaders from across the travel sector, who enjoyed a champagne and canape reception and lunch, accompanied by live entertainment before the awards were announced.
