Co-president of Ensemble Travel Group, Libbie Rice has been named godmother of AmaWaterways’ new ship, AmaMora.
The ship is one of three new additions to the cruise line’s fleet, set to join in 2019.
The all-new AmaMora
A christening ceremony will take place in Lahnstein, Germany in July, where Rice will bless the 156-passenger ship alongside AmaWaterways’ team and local dignitaries.
A sister ship to the recently launched, AmaLea, AmaMora will offer 78 staterooms on-board as well as the Chef’s Table Restaurant; a 24-hour coffee station; fitness centre; heated Sun Deck Pool; and swim-up bar.
Guests will also be able to enjoy in-room entertainment on-demand, complimentary Wi-Fi and free use of the fleet of bicycles for onshore exploration.
Rice was selected in recognition of her 15 years working in the travel industry and has commented:
“I’m deeply honoured to have been chosen to serve as the godmother of this very special ship. Travel is such a rewarding experience, and AmaWaterways is a true leader in delivering extraordinary river cruise vacations. This ship will provide guests with the opportunity to create memorable experiences to last a lifetime, and I could not be more proud to be a part of that legacy.”
AmaMora will depart on her maiden voyage on June 3, when she will sail on twenty seven-night itineraries including the Enchanting Rhine and the Captivating Rhine. She will also offer festive itineraries between November 23 and December 23, names Christmas Markets on the Rhine.
“We are delighted to have Libbie join the AmaWaterways family as godmother of the beautiful AmaMora. Libbie is an extraordinary travel professional with incredible knowledge and experience, as well as an avid world traveller, which makes her the perfect choice to fill this exciting role. We’re looking forward to celebrating with her on board next year.”
We think she is the perfect godmother for this fantastic new ship and we can’t wait for her to set sail in June 2019!

Would love to sail on this new ship, enjoyed our winter trip on the Danube from Budapest last Xmas so much, I'm sure we'd enjoy the Rhine as well.
Hi Penny, your winter trip sounds lovely - the Rhine offers just as much beautiful scenery and exciting ports as well! A member of our Cruise Concierge Team will be in touch with more details on AmaMora itineraries. Thanks, Emma.
