Fly from the UK and arrive in the enthralling city of Budapest, where your river ship awaits on the Danube River. Enjoy a Welcome Reception and meet your fellow travellers and Cruise Director.

Day 2

23 December 2025

Budapest

Awake to views of one of the Danube’s most enchanting cities this morning. Disembark and learn the vibrant history of Budapest as your local guide takes you to a host of impressive sights. Afterwards, get into the festive spirit with a visit to two of the city’s charming Christmas markets. Back on board this evening, enjoy a delightful Gala Welcome Dinner while you cruise.

Day 3

24 December 2025

Vienna

Take in Vienna’s Ringstrasse, plus enjoy a visit to St Stephen’s Cathedral. Afterwards, wander through the Christmas markets and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two. As the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread fills the wintry air, you’ll come to realise that the festive season in Europe is nothing short of magical.

Day 4

25 December 2025

Dürnstein

Celebrate a magical Christmas Day in the town of Durnstein and enjoy a stroll past rustic town houses and taverns. Along the way, gaze up to the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Cruise through the Wachau Valley to Melk. Later tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089.

Day 5

26 December 2025

Passau

Perhaps join an optional tour to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, or travel to Salzburg and enjoy the sights from ‘The Sound of Music’. Alternatively, stay on board and enjoy a relaxing sailing day to Passau. This evening, enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Day 6

27 December 2025

Regensburg

Continue along the Danube River to Regensburg, located in the southern region of the Bavarian Forest. Here, wander along its cobblestone lanes, taking a journey through the ages as you explore the historic streets, medieval buildings and cultural sites on your guided walking tour.

Day 7

28 December 2025

Nuremberg

Take a city tour this afternoon, which includes sights such as the Zeppelin Field and the Palace of Justice. Afterwards explore Nuremberg further at leisure.

Day 8

29 December 2025

Nuremberg

After breakfast today, disembark your ship in Nuremberg and be transferred to the airport in Munich for your onward flight to the UK.
